Danley’s site plan tastefully integrates townhomes with dovetail carriage homes. All homes have one or two-car attached garages but these are hidden from view, creating a pedestrian friendly experience. An intimately-scaled drive, edged with pavers and punctuated by street trees is accessed off of both Old Lancaster Road and South Merion Avenue. A central focal point is a trellis-screened, landscaped pocket park, providing Danley residents with seating, mail box ensemble, barbeque facilities, and dog walking station. Though every home has at least two private parking spaces, ample guest parking is conveniently scattered throughout the site. An wrought-iron style fence surrounding the community defines the public and private spaces while heavily landscaped buffers provide privacy.

Innovative Design

Danley’s architectural designs echo the charm of the historic homes in the neighborhood. The extensive brick appointments, front porches, gambrel and mansard roofs, and tasteful color schemes of the buildings blend seamlessly with the surrounding architecture.

The Dovetail Carriage Homes are designed to resemble twin homes, yet each building actually contains two separate homes in a piggyback configuration. Every home is an end unit with windows on three sides and tall ceilings, affording bright and airy spaces. To ensure maximum privacy, each home has its own front door and garage level entry, attached garage with driveway, and private outdoor living space. Old fashioned front porches face outward to the street while the garages are hidden from view so as to enhance the pedestrian experience.
